Reporting on the previous use of the Cline and openrouter APIs to translate English PDF books.
Completed last Christmas (last month). However, I was unable to publish the article due to a severe cold. Below are screenshots of the program running.
According to the previous article, it would roughly cost $4, but the result on the openrouter API showed that it cost a total of $2.33.
Compared to translation software and plugins available on the market, this result is quite impressive in terms of cost.
However, in terms of the final translation quality, some sentences were missed and not translated, making it less smooth to read. I suspect this is because my command to the AI was to read the PDF character content sequentially and translate it in segments.
How can we solve this problem?
From the anthropic.com website, we can see that the models claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022 and claude-3-5-sonnet-20240620 now support direct reading of PDFs.

On the openrouter API, you will find that there is only one model from 20240620; is the corresponding 2024-10-22 the Sonnet model?
