Today, we recommend some highly effective mobile scanning software. The software recommended below has all been tested! You can easily organize the text from textbooks into documents and keep them on your phone for easy access!
After entering the app, find the [ + ] button at the bottom right corner, click to enter the [ Document Scan ] feature to complete the operation. During the scanning process, try to align the text properly and remove any irrelevant content in the image, which can greatly improve the accuracy of text recognition! Moreover, the brightness and contrast of the scanned image will be automatically adjusted to make the image clearer.
Disadvantage:This is a paid feature for Youdao Cloud members; in the free version, you can scan a maximum of 10 images or texts!
Use the camera in the lower right corner of the image to take a photo, or click the top right corner to import an image from your phone’s album. After taking the photo, you can drag the eight circles to select the paragraphs you want, and then check them.
Enhance and sharpen the image, process it in grayscale, black and white, etc.
After saving the image, perform OCR recognition on it, choose full-page recognition or partial recognition, and you will get a text recognition result.
Disadvantage:This tool allows you to edit and share the recognized text, but only in the member version!
With Office Lens, simply open your phone camera and take a photo of the content you need, and Office Lens will recognize the text in the image, converting it into Word, PowerPoint, or PDF documents. You can also save it in OneNote or share it on WeChat or other social media. Notably, Office Lens can intelligently convert the image text into normal flat-printed text based on the angle you took the photo from. This software is available for Android, iOS, and WP systems.

Disadvantage:Choosing to convert images to Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), or PDF (.pdf) files that are automatically saved to OneDrive requires you to have other software installed on your phone. It can be a bit complex to use!

Disadvantage:Recognition of a large amount of text may result in errors; it is recommended to use it for small amounts of text.
Recently, the 7.15 version of mobile QQ was released, which integrates the OCR recognition function. This means that as long as you have installed mobile QQ, your phone will have OCR functionality without needing to install additional software.
Disadvantage:Currently, it is not possible to extract photos from the album for QQ recognition; it can only extract text from physical books and screenshots sent to you via QQ.
Adobe Scan is a free OCR text recognition application released by Adobe. Like other text scanning applications, you can use your phone’s camera to capture documents, select the recognition area, and finally convert the text in the image into text format; you can also choose not to convert the text in the image but just enhance the contrast of the text. Note that you need to have an Adobe ID before using it. Adobe Scan is completely free, and you can log in to your account to sync with Creative Cloud, allowing real-time feedback to your PC.
