Our multimodal AI platform is a comprehensive platform that integrates multimodal AI technologies such as image generation, video generation, and content understanding. The platform deploys industry-leading open-source and commercial model capabilities in real-time, while also providing one-stop services for model deployment, model training fine-tuning, model evaluation, API calls, and more. Through the multimodal AI platform, it is easy and efficient to access high-quality AI models and services from the industry, as well as train customized models according to scene requirements, thus aiding in the low-cost exploration of AI development paths. A user-centered design philosophy that emphasizes usability, intuitiveness, and satisfaction.
1. Simplify Layout, Avoid Excessive Elements, Maintain Cleanliness
When designing the platform interface, we try to minimize unnecessary elements and only retain the most important information and functions. This allows users to focus more easily on the important content and avoid information overload.
Divide the page content into different areas, such as the top navigation bar, content area, sidebar, etc. Use whitespace, lines, or colors to distinguish different areas, allowing users to quickly find the information they need.
2. Highlight Important Content, Weaken Secondary Information
When designing the interface, it is very important to highlight important content and weaken secondary information, placing important content in the center of the page or using larger spaces to display it. Using images and icons can make important content more prominent, such as using larger and brighter images to attract users’ attention.
3. Attract Users Through Color and Layout
Choose an appropriate color scheme based on the brand image of the AI platform and the target audience. Our AI multimodal platform is mainly aimed at R&D personnel, and based on the user group’s professional and stable image, we chose understated and stable black and gray colors.
Use highlight colors to emphasize important information, such as using red to highlight warning information and blue to emphasize guiding operations.
Pay attention to color matching: avoid using overly glaring or discordant color combinations to avoid impacting user experience.
Maintain a consistent style, elements, and rules throughout the design process to provide a consistent user experience.
1. Uniform Fonts and Font Sizes Can Enhance Readability
Consistency in fonts and font sizes is an important principle in design, as it can improve the readability and aesthetics of the design. In our design, we chose the Ping Fang main font and consistently used it throughout the design. This ensures font consistency, making the design look cleaner and more professional.
Using the same font size in text design looks more consistent. If different font sizes are needed to increase contrast, use ratios to determine their relationship, such as 16px, 14px, 12px, etc.
2. Consistent Icon Styles Enhance Visual Effects
Consistency in icon styles is a very important design principle. It can make the entire design more cohesive, harmonious, and aesthetically pleasing, helping users understand information more intuitively, while also enhancing the visual effect of the design. In our design, we simplified the icons as much as possible, making it easy for users to distinguish them. All icons for different functional areas have a uniform rounded corner effect.
3. Consistent Interaction Methods Reduce User Learning Costs
Having the same interaction methods can reduce user learning costs. When users are using a product or system, if different functions or pages adopt the same interaction methods, then users do not need to relearn how to operate, thus reducing their learning costs. For example, our detail page and result page.
Having the same interaction methods can also enhance user efficiency. Once users are familiar with one interaction method, they can complete operations more quickly, thus improving work efficiency.
Ensure that web pages display and function properly across various browsers and devices. Different operating systems may interpret web pages differently, so designers need to ensure consistent display effects on mainstream operating systems. It is especially important to note that many Windows computers have a default font size of 150%, which can cause our designed pages to appear too large, affecting operations, and thus need separate adaptation.
It is important to note that designing an AI platform is a complex process that requires consideration of multiple factors. Designers need to understand user needs, choose appropriate technology, manage data, consider security and privacy, design user-friendly interfaces, and conduct testing and validation to ensure that the platform’s functionality and performance meet user needs and expectations.
