Fourteen Psychological Laws of NLP

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the earth follows its orbit, tides rise and fall, the moon waxes and wanes, and the seasons change. Everything follows a pattern. In fact, there are many patterns in the human mind, yet few people understand them.

Today, I will introduce the psychological laws of NLP.

Fourteen Psychological Laws of NLP

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which can also be interpreted as the study of the mind-body language programming.

N (Neuro) refers to the nervous system, including the brain and the thinking process.

L (Linguistic) refers to language, or more accurately, the process from sensory input to meaning construction.

P (Programming) refers to a specific set of instructions executed to achieve certain outcomes. It reflects our habits in thinking and behavior, similar to computer programs that can be changed by updating software.

Thus, NLP is explained as the study of how our brain works, and it is therefore translated as “mind-body language programming” or “neuro-linguistic programming.”

The Purpose of NLP

The purpose of NLP is to replicate success. It summarizes the processes that successful people use to achieve results and refines them into a clear and actionable set of techniques that anyone can follow to achieve the same outstanding accomplishments.

Below are the fourteen psychological laws of NLP listed by psychology experts. If you have read them, please use your powerful psychological magnetism to influence those around you!

Fourteen Psychological Laws of NLP

1

The Law of Belief

When you believe in something with a thousand percent certainty, it will eventually become a reality.

2

The Law of Expectation

The Law of Expectation tells us that when we have a strong expectation about something, what we expect will appear.

3

The Law of Emotion

The Law of Emotion tells us that humans are one hundred percent emotional beings. Even if someone claims to be rational, that person is still influenced by their emotional state when thinking rationally. “Thinking rationally” itself is also an emotional state. Therefore, humans are entirely emotional creatures, and every decision made at any time is an emotional decision.

4

The Law of Cause and Effect

Every occurrence has its necessary cause. There is a cause for every effect. In other words, when you see any phenomenon, you should not feel confused or strange because every occurrence has its reason. Your current situation is the result of the causes you planted in the past.

5

The Law of Attraction

When your thoughts focus on a certain area, people, events, and things related to that area will be attracted to you.

6

The Law of Repetition

Any behavior and thought, as long as you keep repeating it, will be continuously reinforced. In your subconscious, if you can keep repeating certain people, events, or things, they will become facts in your subconscious.

7

The Law of Accumulation

Many young people have dreamed of achieving great things, but in reality, there are no great things to do, only small things. A series of small tasks accumulated together form great achievements. Any great achievement or disaster is the result of accumulation.

8

The Law of Radiation

When you do something, the impact is not limited to that action itself; it will also radiate to related fields. Everything has a radiating effect.

9

The Law of Relevance

The Law of Relevance tells us that everything in this world is interconnected; nothing is completely independent. To solve a difficult problem, it is best to start from a related area rather than focusing solely on one point of difficulty.

10

The Law of Specialization

The Law of Specialization tells us that only by specializing in a field can that field develop. Therefore, regardless of the industry you are in, aim to be the best in that field. Only when you specialize can your field grow exceptional.

11

The Law of Replacement

The Law of Replacement states that when we have an unwanted memory or negative habit, we cannot completely eliminate it; we can only replace it with a new memory or new habit.

12

The Law of Inertia

Any action that you continuously strengthen will eventually become a habit.

13

The Law of Manifestation

The Law of Manifestation states that when we continuously seek and question answers, they will eventually manifest.

14

The Law of Demand

Everyone does everything out of a certain demand. Respecting and meeting others’ demands will lead them to respect our demands.

Life’s dilemmas often stem from conflicts between the mind and spirit, and contradictions between consciousness and the subconscious. NLP uses these to address various dilemmas and break through developmental bottlenecks, effectively cutting through problems like a sharp axe through wood. It often quickly grasps the crux of the issue and resolves contradictions in the shortest time possible—teaching you the method of finding methods.

One thousand people have one thousand NLPs. It not only cares about what you do but also how you do it; it cares not only about what you do but also about you as a person; whether you live happily and how your dreams are realized.
