On January 23rd, Eastern Time, OpenAI officially released its first AI agent, Operator. This agent possesses unique capabilities, able to simulate human operations on web browsers and autonomously execute complex tasks such as online shopping and travel booking. It is powered by Computer-Used Agent (CUA) and integrates the visual capabilities of the GPT-4o model along with the reasoning abilities of OpenAI’s more advanced models, allowing interaction with website front-end interfaces without relying on APIs, thus accessing various services. Currently, Operator is only available to ChatGPT Pro subscribers in the United States.
Today, the AI market has shifted towards application sectors, especially due to OAI’s release of the Operator function (similar to Claude Computer Use and Zhizhu GLM PC), which can simulate human computer operations based on commands to complete tasks. Related A-share Agent stocks have seen significant increases.
1️⃣ How to Understand AI Agent? An Agent is more of a concept, referring to the hope that AI can possess greater autonomy to actively complete tasks after receiving instructions. The methods to achieve this can vary: through APIs (direct calls), programming interfaces (AI Coding), or GUI simulation operations. Each approach has its advantages and disadvantages, with OAI’s Operator based on the third route.
2️⃣ What Agent Forms to Look Forward To? Based on the different routes mentioned above, AI Agents will primarily land in two directions: personal and enterprise. Personal Agents are more user-centric, serving individual daily life and work. We believe that in the future, they will be deployed more in the form of #Edge AI, with more diverse scenarios, which presents greater challenges but also larger imaginative spaces; Enterprise Agents focus on specific use cases in businesses (such as customer service, finance, processes, supply chains, etc.), using #Enterprise SaaS as the entry point, closely related to scenarios, thus commercializing faster. Progress has been made overseas, and domestic efforts are following suit.
3️⃣ The computer sector is mainly related to the latter enterprise AI Agents, specifically as follows:
#Fanwei Network & Zhiyuan Interconnect: Agent + OA integration, entry-level scenarios, intelligent processes, hundreds of customers deployed.
#Focus Technology: Agent + B2B e-commerce, empowering seller processes across all scenarios, nearly 10,000 customers in 2024, with revenues in the hundreds of billions.
#Dingjie Software: Agent + enterprise services, various products including knowledge base, processes, and design, with revenues of 60 million in 2024 and a target of over 100 million in 2025.
#Hand Information: Agent + enterprise services, collaborating with Doubao & Zhizhu for model application deployment, with a target of 200-300 million in related orders for 2025.
#Kingsoft Office: WPS AI aims to extend functions to knowledge bases and more, accelerating promotion of enterprise WPS AI; C-end AI users have exceeded 2 million, contributing hundreds of millions in revenue.
