Previously, I introduced a plugin called “Super Copy,” which is mainly used to unlock the copy functionality of document libraries. After installing the plugin, when we open the corresponding document library page, such as 360 Document Library or Baidu Document Library, we find that the text on these pages cannot be copied. However, after clicking to open the plugin and the icon turns blue, we can select the text again and see a “Copy” button appear.
However, this method has limited applicability. At other times, for example, when the information found is not in a document library, when the webpage restricts copying, or when dealing with PPTs or PDFs, or when login is required to copy, this method becomes ineffective.
But the plugin I am introducing today can be used anytime because it utilizes OCR recognition technology, which is considered a “hard solution.”
Some may have used the method of sending images to their phones and then using the recognition function of mobile browsers or input methods, but that is less efficient.
Using it directly through the browser is much simpler.
After installing the plugin, right-click in a blank area, and you will see “OCR Text Recognition” appear in the context menu, with sub-options for “Screenshot Recognition” and “Image Recognition.” After clicking “Screenshot Recognition,” select the target area, and it will be automatically recognized.
If you right-click on an image, only “Image Recognition” will appear.
After that, you can copy the recognized text to Word for editing, which is quite convenient. If you’re interested, you can give it a try.
