ByteDance has officially launched a new AI coding product called Trae (trae.ai), aimed at providing services for professional developers, marking the evolution from Copilot to Autopilot.

Trae is provided by ByteDance’s Singapore company SPRING(SG) PTE.LTD. It supports AI Q&A, code auto-completion, and agent-based AI programming, helping programmers automate various development tasks. In some projects, it can achieve end-to-end development (producing a complete code project directly from user queries). Currently, the product only supports Mac versions, but according to related personnel, the Windows version will be launched soon.
The tool can be used in Simplified Chinese or English and comes with built-in models GPT-4o and Claude-3.5-Sonnet for free use.
