2. Illustrated Tutorial
2.1 Registration and Login (Using the Desktop Version as an Example)1) After opening the desktop version of the Xinyi Intelligent Translation Platform, users need to register first, as indicated in the red box in the image below. Registration comes with 20,000 translation beans for translation purposes.
2) After registering and logging in, users will see the following interface, with the menu bar on the left. It includes nine sections: text translation, document translation, format conversion, document management, knowledge base, translation plugins, translation API, service plans, and order management. Except for service plans and order management, all other features are related to translation.
Users can upload original texts in various formats, including text, images, and documents, according to their translation needs on the Xinyi Intelligent Platform. Document translation supports various formats such as pdf, doc, ppt, xls, and txt, with a maximum size of 20MB. Document translation offers 100,000 words of free usage, and users can choose bilingual versions when downloading translated documents.
Text translation allows users to edit the original text, but the translated text cannot be edited. Image translation will first scan the image format into text format for translation. Text translation and image translation support side-by-side comparison of the original text and translation with a light blue background, as shown in the image:
The Xinyi Intelligent Translation Platform provides categorized translations for general fields, patent rights, biomedicine, legal contracts, and international engineering. This is one of the platform’s advantages.
2.2 Adding Personal Translation Glossaries and Memory Databases
The Xinyi Intelligent Translation Platform supports adding personal glossaries and memory databases. The added glossaries and memory databases can be in formats such as txt and xlsx, with a maximum of 10 files and a total size not exceeding 500MB.
2.3 API of the Xinyi Intelligent Platform
The API of the Xinyi Intelligent Platform can be understood as an open interface providing translation services to developers. It is Xinyi’s leading intelligent translation engine, showcasing the best translation results based on hundreds of millions of sentence pairs compared to human translation results.Based on Xinyi’s self-developed restrictive neural network translation engine, the readability and natural word order of the translation results are excellent. It mainly provides high-quality mutual translation services for 35 commonly used languages worldwide. The character length for a single request can reach 1 million, eliminating the need for character truncation for long texts.

The original text and translation for image translation and text translation can be compared side by side, which is very clear; however, the translated text cannot be edited on the platform, which may cause some inconvenience. Users can choose between the comparative version and the non-comparative version when downloading translated texts, which is also a highlight.
