1. How to RegisterWindsurf

2. Select a version and download
On the official website, select the appropriate version for your operating system. Windsurf supports Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
Once downloaded, you will see the Windsurf icon on your desktop.
2. How to UseWindsurf
Using Cascade to Write
On the right side of the IDE, you will see a new panel named “Cascade”. This is your AI code assistant!
You can chat, write code, and run code using Cascade!
Using Cascade to Generate Projects
You can use Cascade to create brand new projects! For example, you can directly ask it to create a Go game.
Modify Windsurf Settings
You can configure some AI settings for Windsurf here, such as reducing the auto-completion speed or disabling certain features.
Directly Access Tools and Terminal
Cascade can detect which packages and tools you are using, what needs to be installed, and even install them for you.
Just ask Cascade how to run your project and click “Accept”.
However, the free version of Windsurf has limited usage, suitable for beginners and trial users. If you want a deeper experience with Windsurf, subscribing is essential.
3. How to Subscribe to Windsurf?Windsurf?
1. Apply for an Overseas Payment Card
However, domestic users need to put in some effort to subscribe to Windsurf; an overseas card is required for subscription. If you don’t have one, you can apply for an overseas payment card on the wildcard platform.
