Creative Process
Process Breakdown
1. DeepSeek Generates Prompts & Video Script
1.1. Prompt Generation
First, you need to decide which divine figures will send blessings in your video, such as the God of Wealth, Kitchen God, Wenchang Jun, etc. Of course, you can also let DeepSeek help us generate this, as shown in the image:
Then, we select 5 divine figures from this list and decide what they will present as the 5 shots for our subsequent video creation. Let DeepSeek generate the storyboard prompts for us, which will be used for subsequent image generation in Jimeng, as shown:
Copy the above 5 storyboard prompts for later use in Jimeng image generation.
1.2. Video Script
Select your favorite phrases and copy them for later use. If you don’t like them, you can also let DeepSeek regenerate them.
PS: If you are not satisfied with the generated prompts, you can modify them or regenerate until you are satisfied. This is also a process of continuous adjustment.
2. Image Generation with Jimeng
Copy the previously generated storyboard prompts to generate images until you select the 5 most satisfactory images. For example, for the first storyboard of the God of Wealth:
Step 1: Copy the prompt content
Step 2: Select the image generation model, image 2.1
Step 3: Choose a fineness level of 5
Step 4: Choose an image ratio of 16:9
Steps 5, 6, 7: Choose your favorite images, click to open the images, select to edit on the canvas, export with default options, and save the images for later use.
PS: The images generated by Jimeng should preferably have the characters facing directly towards the screen, as this will make the video generation smoother.
3. Taking Photos
Step 1: Use the built-in image tool in Windows to open the recently saved image of the God of Wealth (select the image – right-click – open with – Photos), then press FN+F11 for full screen, and adjust the mouse wheel to full screen (you can also use third-party software to open the image as long as it can be full screen for better shooting effect).
Step 2: Use your phone to take a horizontal photo of the computer screen, ensuring that the keyboard can accommodate the items shown in the image, such as gold ingots (make sure each photo is taken from a similar angle and size for uniformity in the video shots). Below are the 5 images I selected and their shooting effects:
PS: You can also place your hand in front of the computer screen while taking the photo, so that the video effect can show your hand catching the items.
4. Video Generation with Tongyi Wanxiang
Step 1: Select video generation
Step 2: Choose image-to-video generation
Step 3: Select the photos you just took
Step 4: The creative description content can be freely expressed, generally describing that the items in the image are passed out of the screen and land on the real keyboard outside the screen.
Step 5: Generate the video until you choose the one you are satisfied with.
Repeat the steps of Jimeng image generation, taking photos, and Tongyi Wanxiang video generation to sequentially create the 5 required storyboard videos as shown:
5. Edit, Voiceover, and Final Product with CapCut
CapCut has both a professional version for computers and a mobile version; this time, I used the mobile version. The key steps for video editing include: importing videos, adding text, reading text for voiceover, adding sound effects for coins and blessings in some videos, adding overall background sound effects, adding ending video special effects, adjusting the volume of each sound effect, adjusting the playback speed of each video, and adding a video cover.
Due to space limitations, I won’t go into great detail about the CapCut editing process, just recording a few key steps, and everyone can play freely. If you have any questions, please leave a comment for discussion.
Step 1: Start creating, import the 5 generated storyboard videos and add them
Step 2: Add text (subtitles) to the imported videos, selectNew Text, and the text content is the video script generated by DeepSeek in section 1.2, such as for the God of Wealth video, the text would be: “The God of Wealth sends you golden bricks, wishing you abundant wealth.”
Step 3: Add reading functionality to the text, selectText to Speech, and choose a voice (most voices require payment, but free options are available).
Step 4: Add text and text reading to each video segment. If the length of the text reading exceeds the video length, slow down the video playback speed to make it closer to the length of the text reading.
Step 5: Add music material to the entire video, search for festive Spring Festival sound effects, and add sound effects of coins falling and blessings in the God of Wealth and Guanyin videos.
Step 6: Add video special effects at the end, search for New Year Festival, and select appropriate video. Also, add text and text reading for this video, with the content wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
PS: Since the video includes many sound effects, we need to adjust the volume of each sound, such as keeping the overall background sound lower, making the text reading louder, and highlighting the sound effects of coins and blessings.
Additionally, the speed of each video, reading speed, and subtitle length should be adjusted according to the actual situation to achieve the best effect.
Finally, here’s a screenshot I took using the desktop version of CapCut, showing some of the steps.
