After the release of DeepSeek R1, it created a huge buzz. Now, here are two steps to experience DeepSeek-R1.

Select <span>API Provider</span>in the Cline settings interface and choose DeepSeek, then fill in the API Key.

In the Model selection below, choose <span>deepseek-reasoner</span>
If you can’t find this option, you can update
<span>Cline</span>or<span>RooCline</span>, then restart VSCode to see it.
Careful friends may also notice that the prices for the deepseek-chat model and deepseek-reasoner are different. The deepseek-reasoner corresponds to the deepseek-r1 model, and its price has naturally increased compared to before. However, compared to Cursor or OpenAI, the price is already very affordable!
