Five AI Script Tools Tested
Choose Your
Creative Assistant in 3 Minutes
Since the beginning of the year, I wonder if everyone has been flooded with deepseek on their phones? On December 26, 2024, Deep Seek Company announced the v3 model, and less than a month later, on January 20, it followed up with the r1 model, marking a shift in China’s generative artificial intelligence from catching up to leading the way. It stands alongside the proud o1 model of ChatGPT.
The application of generative artificial intelligence has gradually become popular since 2023. Whether in scientific research, finance, law, or literature, art, and politics, AI has deeply infiltrated these industries. For students majoring in media, it is a highly beneficial tool, a superb creative assistant.
Next, I will introduce beneficial AI large models for creative work based on text generation and dialogue model types.
Text Generation and Dialogue Models
Inspiration and Script Creation
This is the initial form of generative AI and a key direction for AI development. Most current text generation and dialogue models are closed-source (source code not open). Among the best are various models of ChatGPT from the American company OpenAI, various models of Claude from Anthropic, and Google’s Gemini; domestically, there are models like Alibaba Cloud’s Tongyi Qianwen (Qwen), ByteDance’s Doubao, and Baidu’s Wenxin Yiyan.
Among open-source (source code open) models, deepseek, France’s Mistral, and META’s LLaMA 3 are among the outstanding large models.
In literary narrative creation, I recommend for everyone the following models: Tongyi Qianwen (Qwen2.5 max), Claude 3.5 sonnet, ChatGPT 4 turbo, deepseek r1, and Mixtral. These five models each have their unique features in generating long texts, especially in script creation. Next, I will introduce the characteristics of these five models in script creation:
01
Qwen 2.5max Model
It excels at handling long scripts of over 50 episodes while maintaining consistency in foreshadowing and endings. It accurately captures cultural details of Eastern themes such as martial arts and fantasy and can suggest storyboard ideas.
Recommended Scenarios: Online literature adaptations, film company projects Tested: High completion for generating the “Sect War” scene in fantasy drama.
02
Claude 3.5 Sonnet
Automatically avoids violence and sensitive content, showing clear advantages when generating family-friendly or educational scripts. It excels at designing character growth arcs, with dialogues closer to human expression, though it generates slower. Recommended Scenarios: Family-friendly scripts, growth scripts, educational scripts Tip: Input “enhance character psychological changes” to strengthen character arcs.
03
ChatGPT 4 Turbo
Suitable for scenarios requiring quick script framework output. After inputting characters and backgrounds, the model can automatically generate a complete structure that includes conflicts and climaxes, especially excelling in logical genres like mystery and sci-fi. It supports multiple rounds of adjustments, such as “add twists” or “refine dialogues,” but emotional depth needs to be supplemented manually. Recommended Scenarios: Commercial script drafts, brainstorming tests Note: After generation, it is recommended to focus on refining character emotions.
04
Deepseek R1
Designed for batch production of Chinese scripts. The generated content automatically conforms to standard script formats (scene descriptions, dialogue segmentation), costing only 2% of similar models. It is suitable for generating outlines for domineering CEO and rebirth-themed short dramas, while its sci-fi themed corpus is rich, suitable for editing scripts with scientific fantasy elements.
Recommended Scenarios: MCN institutions for mass production, novice screenwriters practicing, sci-fi themed scripts
Technique: Input “add dramatic conflicts” to enhance drama.
05
Mistral
Supports local deployment with strong data privacy. It can be trained with specific types of scripts (like American comedies, art films) to generate corresponding style content. It is compatible with multi-language creation, but its ability to generate complex plots is limited. Recommended Scenarios: Multi-language script development, brainstorming comedies Case: After training with the corpus of “Wulin Waizhuan,” it can generate sitcom segments.
These five models each have their unique features, making them handy tools in script editing. During the script editing process, everyone might try using various models in combination, which may yield unexpectedly creative script inspirations.
