First Experience with AI: Doubao App

In the Miracle 30-month course, I heard Teacher Phoenix Xian mention that one of the assignments from the recent on-site course in Shanghai was to use AI software.

So I decided to give it a try. The teacher often talks about how when preparing materials for courses like Light Walker, she communicates with ChatGPT and respects it greatly. It has learned a lot and understands everything.

Doubao and Kimi are the two leading AI applications often mentioned in China. For now, I can’t use many others. After some exploration and development, it seems likely that one will dominate the market.

Doubao’s logo features a cartoon girl image, which makes it feel more relatable and friendly.

The main page has some functional prompts, and I tried the Olympic morning and evening report, which had quite a bit of content.

On the microphone page, there is a dedicated “English Learning” project. I tried it, but due to possible internet speed issues, it was slow to respond and eventually froze, so I exited. Later, I went directly to the main page to converse in English.

When I spoke directly in English, she responded in English. I asked for advice on language learning, software, movies, etc. Her pronunciation is quite authentic American accent. If we could speak like her, that would be amazing. We can appreciate it a bit in the video.
